Rockets didn’t really play as well as the last two games they played against the Toronto Raptors and Memphis Grizzlies. Rockets had a lot of turnover and to make it worse, they didn’t shoot well at all. Yao Ming was swarmed with two to three Golden State Warriors players at any time and therefore he only scored 16 points with some rebounds.
Here is what Bonzi Wells said “”We played like trash in the fourth quarter…We controled the game and played the way we wanted to play for three quarters. But the fourth quarter was just trash.”
Warriors biggest advantage was their three point shooting range skills at the fourth quarter. Baron Davis opened the fourth quarter period by netting a three-pointer and then went on his own personal scoring binge. He scored 10 of his game-high 23 points over a five-minute span that pushed the Warriors to a 91-84 lead.
Last Night was the game Bucks played against Denver Nuggets and lost it with 105-125. The entire Bucks team had a bad night except for Mo Williams who shot close to 50 % field goals.
But as for Yi Jianlian, he made only 2 for 11 FG, although he did made 4 for 4 free throws. He had 2 turnovers and total of 8 points. So why he had such a horrible game that night?
First of all, he is a rookie and he won’t make 20 points every night. He usually plays his best when playing with the home court advantage.
But nonetheless, there is no best excuse than this one - He almost entered the room of Denver Nugget’s dance team. If it wasn’t for the Bucks player Charlie Bell, Yi Jianlian would be in the news all over the places. Charlie Bell yelled “Yi, Yi, you’re going the wrong way.”
This embarrassing moment must have made it hard for Yi Jianlian’s focus on playing good basketball during the game.
On a positive side, he did try to go to the rim and put up the shots, but he was blocked atleast twice during the game by Mike Camby. Michael Redd got blocked by him as well.
I want to try and keep this blog as clean and fair as possible. But I been getting pissed of by how Yao is getting tackled all the time and refree doesn’t do anything. On the other hand, refree has been giving unfair calls on Yao.I am no NBA expert, but I believe one of the main reason Houston Rockets, especially Yao Ming has been struggling is because he is not getting foul calls when other players foul him. On the other hand, we see Yao Ming gets fouled almost all the time he try to defend the basket.
If the situation remains same, it can be pretty much said that Yao Ming stats and scores will either remain unchanged or may even fall down.

PS- Just in case, you are interested in knowing who the referee officiating this call…it’s NBA officila #35 Jack Nies.
Just last week NBA rookie Yi Jianlian had his career high 22 points against Minnesota Timberwolves. But it is not anymore. Yi just set a new career high for himself with 29 points last night playing against Bobcats. He also had 10 rebounds, 3 steals, 3 assists and 1 block. Milwaukee Bucks won with 103, Charlotte Bobcats had 99 points in total.
Bucks 89 and Kings 102 at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Yi Jianlian almost had his first double double with 8 point and 12 rebounds.
During the game, they were time 9 times and lead changed 18 time; so the game was quite competitive. Both the team play near 49% field goal shooting, but it the 3 point shooting that made the difference. Sacramento Kings made about 78%, which was 10% higher than Bucks in 3 point shooting of 68%.
The latest report released by NBA for the 2007 season’s Week 7 shows that Yi Jianlian is the top third rookie. He ranked fourth last week.
Yi Jianlian performed a lot better during the week 7 averaging 15.8 points on .640 shooting over the four games.
On a side note, Kevin Durant fell down to second ranking. Al Horford ranked top for the week 7 this season.
There was an ESPN report about the rookie Yi Jianlian and the title says Rookie Report: Yi Jianlan adapting to the NBA. That’s a nice word that he would like to hear every week and month. But unfortunately, it is less likely to happen that often.
According to the report, Yi has been shot 41.7 percent from the floor in the month of November. But this month, Yi has not only been able to exceed the 50 percent ball shooting this month, but is averaging 15.8 points on 64 percent shooting in his past four games. During that span, he’s also snatched 6.3 boards per game and knocked down all 12 of his free-throw attempts.
It should definitely be a fun game to watch where Yao Ming and Dwight Howard playing against each other. They both are NBA’s top centers. Houston Rockets is 12-12 so far while Orlando Magic is 17-9.
Here is the latest comparison between these two nba players. They both play as a center, but Dwight Howard sometimes also plays Forward and just one more minute than Yao. Yao Ming’s FG is lower but FT is higher. Same goes - Dwight Howard’s Assist per game is lower, but Rebound per game is higher.
Yao Ming or Dwight Howard:
